We are often told that radical ideas about anything–whether it be religion, politics, or philosophies, can be tolerated as long as these ideas remain within the minority of individuals.
A US-based psychiatrist, Dr. Emanuel Tanay, offered some insight into the power of ideas that while emerging from a small minority, can take over whole populations and create massive impact. He also higlights that fence-sitters, or the silent majority–are complicit in any atrocities committed in the name of radical ideas.
Here’s Dr. Tanay’s Note:
A man whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War ll owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.
‘Very few people were true Nazis ‘he said,’ but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it,they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.’
We are told again and again by ‘experts’ and ‘talking heads’ that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectra of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.
It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The hard quantifiable fact is that the ‘peaceful majority’, the ‘silent majority’, is cowed and extraneous.
Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.
China’s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.
The average Japanese individual prior to World War ll was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet.
And, who can forget Rwanda , which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were ‘peace loving’?
History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:
Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because like my friend from Germany , they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun. Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghanis, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.
As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life.
Lastly, at the risk of offending, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just deletes this email without sending it on, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand. So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on! Let us hope that thousands world wide, read this -think about it – and send it on.

nice article.. muslim girls should stage a day when all girls has to cut the dicks of their spouse and brothers. they should do this as “honor cutting”. they will burn their head cover or pashmina all at the same time and walk in the street in their underwear. they will honor their humanity and make a statement that “tama na, sobra na!”
Great response! I hate the rape victim killings the most. I would kill any one doing that to a women! I am a Christian by the way.
If I understand well your thinking is negative, because in all what you said it appears clearly that you don’t know more than the name ‘Islam’. What is iat as religion, you haven’t got any idea. So I advice you to learn more if you would like to convince the reader!!!
I don’t understand your problem Jhon. Which part of this post is not correct? Are you one of the fanatics to whom it refers?
Text purported to be by Emanuel Tanay, but is that of Paul E. Marek
Why The Peaceful Majority Is Irrelevant
By Paul E. Marek

^ Thanks for the reference Joe.
I did not write the article attributed to me; I have forwarded it to some friends. Someone put my name as the author. I am not German but a Holocaust survivor from Poland. Obviously, I am aware of the danger of fanaticism. My book Passport to Life (Amazon.com) gives some of my reflections on the subject of fanaticism.
The author of the article you are referring to was Paul E. Marek of Saskatoon, Canada. The original Title was Why The Peaceful Majority Is Irrelevant. Paul E. Marek is a second-generation Canadian, whose grandparents fled Czechoslovakia just prior to the Nazi takeover. He wrote it in February of 2006.

Thank you for the reference Dr. Tanay. Happy to hear from you.
I second Alan Vallis observation of Jhon and figure intsik siomai may also be of the same people fanatic people referred to in the article. This article was excellent and VERY ACCURATE. Just ask some of the survivors of these incidents.
I am obviously a bit behind the times, one of the ‘peaceful people’
I hate watching the news in horror at the atrocities going on in the world today and really want to know, what can WE do to stop it?
Is it too late?
Has that ghastly race infested the world too deeply? It seems hopeless.
How do you stop someone being a fanatic? Is there any way to convince them they are doing the wrong thing? They have been so thoroughly brainwashed with their inhuman ideas and intent on doing their best to destroy the world. All in the name of religion.
I can forward this email to hundreds of people who are already aware of the atrocities being committed.
I would much rather prefer to spread the word about what we can do about it, so any practical suggestions would be very welcome.
Please.
We could stop electing in Moslem Presidents, that would be a great start.
To which president are you referring? Obama is a Christian.
@ Lyn
We can do a lot.
We can belabor our politicians to stop our Western nations sending our armies into Muslim nations. The presence of Western troops inflames an already volatile situation.
We can stop supporting Israel right or wrong while they treat the Palestinians abominably. Why is it necessary to confront Iran over a potential for nuclear weapons development when we’ve refused to do anything about Israel who’ve had them for years?
We need to stop insisting that the world adopts democracy, at least until we figure out how to make it work ourselves, most of the Islamic nations aren’t ready for democracy – just wait and see what a mess Iraq will decend into when we set them adrift with a democracy they’re presently incapable of sustaining.
We need to wean ourselves off oil so that every mile we drive doesn’t add more money to the coffers of people like the Saudis who are funding the terrorism.
We need to educate our own citizens so that they don’t swallow their leaders’ lies like “Saddam Hussain was behind 9/11”.
We can stop accepting Muslim refugees and immigrants. If they don’t like their current political arrangements let them stay at home and change them. We can deport the bad apples we already have who won’t actively renounce activism.
Write letters to your politicians and newspapers, start a blog, make your voice heard, push for change.
Start a blog!
🙂
You said “Has that ghastly race infested the world too deeply? ”
These people aren’t a race, they’re a religion. Many of the worst offenders as far as fanaticism is concerned are Arab, but the Iranians aren’t, the Pakistanis and Afghans, aren’t. The biggest Islamic nation is Indonesia – most of whom are Javanese, closely related to Malays.
@Alan:
Your assertion that “what’s good enough for Isreal is good enough for Iran” is a bit flawed though, with regard to a nuclear arsenal.
Isreal hasn’t utilized their stockpile as leverage, nor to overtly begin a war under the auspices that they could crush a weaker country. I doubt anyone here would posit that Iran would merely keep such a nuclear arsenal as a deterent over the next 30 years as Isreal has done.
Your claim that Islamic nations and democracy are mutually exclusive is brash too. 200+ years ago, Britain was pretty sure that a bunch of farmers weren’t capable of maintaining a representative democracy either. Yet, we’ve proven them wrong. The same was said about the “savages” in Japan. Again, the detractors were wrong. I believe you’ll be proven wrong about Iraq.
It’s not until speaking about our reliance, and the devastating impacts therein, that your post begins to speak to the intelligence I credit you with possessing. Focus more on the critically-withstanding logic and you’ll do more to change bad habits.
While I agree with the sentiments expressed in it, this essay is both mistitled and incorrectly attributed. For whatever reason, this almost four-year-old piece is being forwarded around the internet quite a bit, lately, under the guise of being the work of the esteemed Dr. Tanay.
You’ll find the article, in it’s original form, as well as info on its true author, Paul Marek, here:
http://www.inrepair.net/2008/01/20/why-the-peaceful-majority-is-irrelevant/
@ Allan Vallis: In all due respect, Isreal, like the US, has had nukes for years, however, they are not threatening to completely wipe out any other nation; they do not feel as if the muslim people are the devil and the only way to save the world is to purge the world of this (Isreali) disease; if they do feel this way about their muslim neighbors, they are not hateful and foolish enough to announce it on National Television as your main concern, as did the leader of Iran.
I agree that we should take our troops out of the middle east, let it rot. Should Isreal face nukes, then you better believe we will face them as well. I hope Isreal says “forget the American Government; we will do what is necessary to protect ourselves.”
Isolationism isn’t so radical.
Cf. ActForAmerica.com if you want to actually DO something to stop radical muslims’ infiltration and stealth subjugation of the USA, Eurabia, Africa, Indonesia, etc. Founder Brigette Gabriel, a great American patriot.
@ Liberty Crier
I agree that there’s a qualitative difference between Israel and other potential offenders. Nevertheless, we all have gabfests at the UN to make rules which are supposed to make the world a safer place and then we do nothing to hinder those who blatantly ignore them.
Unless it suits us.
It’s a difficult business and there’s no black and white way to look at it or to solve it. Nevertheless, a bit less hypocrisy and a bit less concern for where the next gallon of crude is coming from would help.
Even a 3 times Pulitzer winner like Thomas Friedman, whose opinions (and suggested solutions to our most pressing problems) I respect and agree with thought that toppling Saddam was the right thing to do. Not because of the imaginary nuclear threat but because he was a nasty bit of work.
But if we adopt that attitude why don’t we deal to Robert Mugabe? the Burmese generals? the invaders in Tibet?
We’re a collective bunch of hypocrites I fear.
In Israel’s case I separate the issues of (i) their treatment of the Palestinians from (ii) the issue of their relationships with the Islamic world at large.
There doesn’t seem to be much hope of resolving the second issue before fixing the first.
🙂
It is irrelevant whether or not we have troops in the mid east – the Islamo-fascists will still foment hate and intolerance, not to rid ther land of foreign influence, but to spread their warped view of Islam to the world. These 7th century throwbacks prey on the weakness of the west and infiltrate to do damage from within. The recent attacks in the US are small scale (and largely ignored) examples of where things are going unless the world says ‘enough’. The so-called “peaceful majority” in Islam better stand up and take back their religion and shut down the retrograde tyrants or they will bring ruin on their religion and the world.
This is a lesson that Islam has learned before (Ghengis Kahn decimated much of Islam in the mid east after his emissaries were killed on their mission to set up trade).
It is interesting that the leftists in the west bend over backwards to accommodate the Islamic fanatics and never once stop to think about the fact that the fanatical agenda is exactly diametrically opposite of everything the leftists hold dear. Yet the leftists are not smart enough to grasp the fact they they are handing the hangman the noose he will use to hang them. If the stakes were not so high for all of us, it would be laughable.
The author hits the nail right on the head. The whole “moderate muslims” as opposed to “radical muslim” is nothing but a hustle. The enemy is the enemy, period. Members of the moslem religion have declared war on us and the rest of them have given the radicals their silent approval. They are all our enemy.
The war against Islam could be won in one day. One day. The fact that the Labor party of Britain and the Bush-Obama government of the US haven’t done what could be very easily done is evidence that these governments and their political parties have been compromised and are selling their citizens out for a pay off. First of all, all feeble attempts to disguise ti aside, the real funder of this war against the west is Saudi Arabia. It’s wealthy citizens are funding virtually all of these terrorist armies while the “official” stance of the S.A. government is that they are against these groups. S.A. gets 70% of it’s fresh water from desalination plants. Almost all of the rest is obtained by deep aquifer wells since the shallower wells were pumped dry long ago. One day of bombing runs and S.A. would be history. Riyahd, gets virtually all of it’s water from a pipeline from the red sea. Destroying the infrastructure of S.A. would be a cake walk compared to what we did to Germany in WWII. Egypt could be taken out with one bomb run on the Aswan dam. Such a move would wipe out everything in the Nile valley. The power base of the moselm world would be gone, It would only take minutes to complete the attack and a couple of weeks to see the monster dies afterwards. S.A. also has a foreign workforce that comprises one fifth of it’s population. That workforce is treated brutally. They know they’d be the first to die of thirst if they didn’t try to take control after the attack.Right after our attack the streets of S.A. would become quite violent. The country would be paralyzed as it slowly died.
These fanatics want to rule the World? Well camels and head scarfs will be seen every where. And the asses propped up in the air praying on dirty rugs.
Be headings would be enormous. Every day thousands of heads would be lobbed off. Convert or be killed would be the mantra. ICK ICK sounds like a horror movie.

Seems like the heads are doctored. The proportion is too big and do not correspond to the bodies.
We are not fighting with flesh but with spirits ……History repeat itself …..The same spiritual forces that took over germans 60 years ago… and distroyed that generation.
looks quite similar today and taking over muslim world….if you listen to their retoric …it all sounds the same ….the same enemy and the same couse of action…… The nazis promoted killing jews and gipsies and mentally ill …so ….radical muslims promote killing jews and infadels…. Nazis trained their children to kill so islamists do the same …..
In conclusion, their spiritual father is the same…
Interesting chain of discussion here. I think people will want to read Ayn Rand’s thoughts echoing similar sentiments as the article above:
I very much like this quote, which is out of many people’s league.
Some cultures find it very difficult to accept that listening and agreement aren’t equivalent to each other. If one says “I don’t agree,” the other takes it to mean, “Well, because you don’t listen.”
It is impossible for Israel to mistreat a Palestinian…
Because there is no such thing as a Palestinian…
“Palestinians” is a political (word) tool fabricated by the PLO in concert with the Arab states surrounding the land of Israel, purely to gain international sympathy for their fraudulent claims to the relatively microscopic land of the Jews that predates the so called “Palestinians” by several thousand years…
The so called “Palestinian” claim to East Jerusalem & the infamous Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount is also a complete farce & utter nonsense because the land was overrun by Muslim hoards & stolen from the Israelis…& there is not one single mention of Jerusalem in the Muslim’s Bible, The Holy Koran…anywhere….
Don’t perpetuate the “Palestinian” myth….
don’t listen to the PLO / HAMMAS / HIZBAHALLA & THE RAVING LOONETICS OF THE LEFT WING MEDIA MACHINE…
enlighten yourself…do your own historical research…begin by finding out were the name Palestine came from…
Remember, It was Yasar Arafat’s uncle, the Grand Mufti of Cairo, who advised Hitler to set up the extermination camps.
(Why didn’t the British (or any of the Allies) bring him to answer at the end of a rope for treason and inciting genocide. The British hung Willam Joyce for his Lord HaHa on Radio Berlin.)
Radical or not…Islam itself is our enemy. It is completely incompatible with our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and The Bill of Rights. It is the antithesis of what America is supposed to stand for. Islam is not a religion. It is a totalitarian political ideology hiding behind a facade of religion. These animals are why we have a Marine Corps. Remember the Barbary Wars folks. These idiots have been pulling jihad on us for well over 200 years. This is nothing new and it will never change unless we completely annihilate them when we fight them. I’m talking about leveling cities here. Screw collateral damage. General Pershing did it right when he had his troops soak the bullets in pigs blood before he executed a bunch of them in the Philippines after they attacked him. He then threw their bodies into the ditch with the pigs. It was long time before they attacked us again.
Wow, Apparently Genocide is the answer Mauricio and Dom.
While I do think that if I just kill everyone who disagrees with me the world will be at peace, I tend to think that’s the exact kind of thinking that has led to all the atrocities mentioned in the letter.
OTOH, if Hitler had managed to kill off everyone and create a pure race I imagine the world would have a lot less troubles than it does today.
How about working things out with dialogue and debate? Maybe not grabbing the “bomb em and ransack their villages” routine makes me a peace-loving hippy in your mind, but I do think there are alternatives to never-ending violence. Take a page from Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb (yes, an Arab Moslemman) who did not slaughter every christian and jew in the city of Jerusalem when captured (as had been done each time before when one side captured it) and even permitted jews to resettle part of the city. Don’t forget that in the bible it was the jewish people who gained the land of Canaan via act of genocide. Nevermind that Israel is a modern nation which has no relation the biblical nation of the same name or the religion of Judaism.
Dom, a quote from a treaty between the united states and the barbary powers under John Adams, one of our founding fathers begins:
“As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen”
Very True. I can attest to the fact that my father, who was in the German Army- WWII- has said the same thing so many times. But I never put it in perspective with the Islamic movement. Based on my fathers comments, both seem to be traveling the same road.
Jhon, You are an IDIOT, You can’t think, or see the problem with the “Religion of Pieces.” Why don’t you go to Iran, Syria, Pakistan & get back to us in a few years, providing, you are still alive. YOU are part of the problem!, You can not see the forest for the trees, & you believe all the lies & propaganda put out by the Left & the Islamists about Islam. Keeping your head in the sand does nothing to stop these radicals in our midst. You are like the German people during the rise of the Nazis, they just thought they were fools, till the Nazis took over. I also know that you are NOT a student of History. If so you you would have something to gage this situation from.
It is also obvious that you lack any critical thinking skills or any intelligence, you would fit right in with much of the population in the third world countries listed above. I advise you to learn to read, & work on comprehension skills.
C.O. Jones
Cheryl-Ann
I suggest you go back to the History book & read a bit more about Saladin, He & his followers put many people to the sword.
C.O. Jones
“Wow” indeed Cheryl-ann,
Thanks for bringing some sanity to this disturbing thread. Unfortunately, you’re dealing with people who were at the end of the queue when compassion, reason and tolerance were handed out.
The books of Moses have a lot to answer for.
Dr Laura would be proud:
http://www.humanistsofutah.org/2002/WhyCantIOwnACanadian_10-02.html
What was Dr. Laura’s reply?
“The books of Moses have a lot to answer for.”
The New Testament is the Answer.
U NO HOO,
Which part of it tells me which sins are no longer sins and which ones God will shun me for?
And as we quible around what God is thinking, they continue to remain silent……while…Hindus, Christians, and Jews are slaughtered like animals.
History repeating itself on this board by explaining away murder, tranny, and liberty.
Pastor Martin Niemöller spoke of German “intellectuals” that allowed the Nazis to rise and slaughter group after group after group after group…..after group….
Who will speak for you when its time, “intellectual”?
Will you “intellectual” allow the Islamo-fascists to cotinue their conquest to throw us back to the stone age?
“THEY CAME FIRST for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist.
THEN THEY CAME for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew.
THEN THEY CAME for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist.
THEN THEY CAME for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant.
THEN THEY CAME for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up.”
– Pastor Martin Niemöller
Tough to think this through to its logical end, right “intellectual”?
Your silence is consent “intellectual”…….
Santi,
ty, I consider “intellectual” to be a compliment.
Let’s refer to the recent case of Islamists massacring a village in east africa. Such a horrible thing yes, but a sign of the evil Islamic Religion come to kill us all?
Would it surprise you to find out that that attack was really an act of retaliation for a village of 500 men women and children that was massacred by the christians?
I’m not saying two wrongs make a right, both were horrible atrocities. I’m just saying that this isn’t a religious war in which we have to exterminate the other “side”. Vengeance and Genocide are not the answers here. Holding terrorists (including people like Sadam Hussein or some of the Dictators around the world the USA currently supports) accountable for their actions yes. Killing and punishing a people because someone who looks like them or believes like them did something bad to you, no. If that were the answer than all the blacks in the country should rise up in insurrection and kill all the Caucasians because of the KKK and what was done to them in the past.
Ann,
It is very horrible…that there exists these little voices saying ‘watch out, you don’t want to become a ‘hater’ etc..
Well, I really hate when there have been 14,978 Islamic terrorist attacks since 9/11 and still we find people that have mercy on these ‘humans’
“Those who show mercy to the merciless, will be merciless to the merciful”
-Talmud
cheryl-ann & a vallis, Looking back through recent History, When the Japs invaded China & conducted the “Rape of Nanking” & brutalized our America POW’s & many other people, Military or not, with starvation, Medical experiments, beheadings & inhumane living conditions, including The Bataan Death March, the Hell ships that the POW’s were on. And even the Killing fields in Cambodia. Do not forget the Palestinians that are always sending rockets to kill Jews, the Jews are defending their homeland & rightfully so. The Palestinians do not want equality, or coexistence, they, Hamas, Iran & other factions want to eliminate the Jews. Not sending U.S. Troops to keep these fanatics at bay might work in a perfect world, but we do not have a perfect world. I may be wrong, but I’ll bet you guys have never left the USA, been in the Military, been in a War zone, or even seen a person beheaded or sliced open like a water mellon, to see one of your own butchered is different than watching it on T.V. If you saw such images live & in person, I am sure that you would be singing a different tune. One can not negotiate with a fanatic & worse, a religious fanatic, it took two A. Bombs to bring the Japs to their knees. The leadership of this nation is gutless to use the type of force needed that will end this situation in Afghanistan & in Iraq. We have been fighting these 4th. century throwbacks for 8 years with no resolve. Strangely enough the administration seems to think that negotiation will work. It will not! No one in the Islamic world will give the order to stop the killing, they believe that they have a mandate to take over the world & to kill anyone that is not Muslin or have you convert to their religion, Hell No, I will not convert, you probably will. Santi, in the comment above by Pastor Martin Niemoller says much. Another is “All that it takes for evil to flourish, is for good men & women to do nothing.” The fight for our existence is at hand. I say end it over there before the beheadings start here . And remember Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. I disagree with both of you. You could go over to that part of the world & get a first hand look, I’ve been there.
@ C. O. Jones,
It’s odd that so many Americans are prone to assume that everyone on the web is American.
To put the record straight: I served in my country’s navy for 20 years from 1958 – 1978. Much of that time deployed with American navy, marines and coastguard. I’ve spent 40 years travelling to probably half the nations of the world. I’ve lived in six different countries.
I’ve visited at least a dozen Islamic countries.
There’s no reasoning with fanatics and we have a few on this thread. When 40% of Americans believe that the universe was created less than 10,000 years ago how can the rest of use expect any sensible consensus on anything?
The reasoning faculties have atrophied.
I’m not in the business of converting or being converted. Christians have caused just as much pain and suffering over the centuries as any other group. If you’re a Christian, which I am not, I commend you to a closer study of the gospels, particularly the Sermon on the Mount, most of which I try to adhere to, as have many other non-Christians including the Mahatma Gandhi.
If every Christian followed the teachings they ascribe to, there would be a lot less strife in the world for Christians, Muslims or the rest of us.
First off I doubt few people are appologizing or defending those who choose to commit terror and acts of atrocity. However, lumping everyone of the Islamic faith and arabian descent is folly. For the normal people living in the region or with religious fervor, sit down and discuss what they are pissed off about. Not give in, but discuss. A lot of these people in Iraq and Afganistan simply have not had real rule of law since we took over, have not been able to hold a job or feed their families, and may have been dragged into interrogation or seen their brother/sister/mother/father killed by the US. For anyone who picks up a weapon (rifle or suicide vest) no, but the common people everywhere by and large just want to get by. It is not as simple as as everyone in that region wants us to die, anymore than every American in the 60’s thought blacks were inferior.
Not all Palestinians support or launch rockets, but all of them have to pay by being blockaded, having their neighborhoods blown up and basic human rights denied. Two wrongs don’t make a right, and just because the actions of Hamas are in the wrong does not give the Israelis the right to commit evil acts in retaliation. Thats in my book anyways. The book of the world doesn’t care if you commit genocide… long as the people targeted don’t speak English.
Personally, I do make a distinction between attacks on military targets and civilian targets. The USS Cole was a legitimate military target, kidnapping and beheading civilians is not. Terrorism is a crime, and an act of war. attacking civilians is NOT ok whether you are the terrorist or the US government.
The article is a typically Xenohobic Anti-Islamic rubbish. There is nothing educational about it. This site is becoming quite relevant for researching on childish Anti-Islamic articles. In the Holocaust Museum of Houston Texas, the main exhibit until April 19, 2010 is pictoral stories of Muslims who HELPED JEWS escape the Holocaust. The exhibit is hosted by Jews, and the Holocaust Museum is a major center for Jewish studies in Texas.
Search Houston events in Google and look at the Events for the Holocaust Museum in Houston. This article is fiction. My comments are FACTS.

Allen, why don’t you get a grip?
14,500 acts of terror have happened around the world. You deny the FACTS:
http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/
And Ann, B.H.O. sent 920.3 million dollars to Fakestine, 10 mos. ago. Where are the hospitals in the place they call “palestine?” Where are the shopping malls? You dont know anything about what is going on over there, that is obvious.
This is so typical of the leftist speak, always supporting enemies of our friends.
I guess Allen, you forget the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, eh? Christians are the ones that stood in the gap for the Jews and lost their lives. Since you love the little savages so much, volunteer to go to Iraq, preferably to the place where Nick Berg went 😉
Shalom sh/head.
Mr G,
Where were the good German people when Hitler came to power?
Where are the good, peace loving muslims now? Why don’t they rise up and fight the finatics?
Oh! people have taken to the streets in Iran and have been slaughtered by finatics and what was the response of the UN. Did they even say Boo!
[…] One of the bromides we keep hearing over and over again from the CAIR and its white liberal fellow t… is that most Muslims are peace-loving and want nothing to do with the […]
Ginsberg, appropriate that you would use the name of such a first class douche-bag as your moniker.
Imbeciles such as yourself who deny the very real threat that radical islam poses to western nations just make me shake my head in bewilderment. You must have been both castrated and lobotomized at birth.
Imbeciles, sh/heads, idiots…
Great way to persuade people to change their views.
🙂
Great way to persuade people to change their views.
*******I have found that after a year of blogging, people dont ‘change their views’ unless they have had a life-threatening illness or something to that effect.
That was also my last statement, dear.. You might take note of sweet Allens statements… “Xenophobic”
~ Do you think that Mr. Ginsberg is changing the minds of the bloggers here by generalizing and categorizing? Then mentioning “No Savage Nation”
Looks to me like Mr. Ginsberg follows around Mr. Savage to take up for these sweet Moslem people that SOOOOOO love the Jewish people (gag)
Jews are the greediest of all humankind. They’d like to live 1000 years. But they are going to hell. 2:96
ALSO: Mr Ginsberg, bless his heart does not seem to care to mention that the most read book by Moslems is Mein Kampf.
Mr. Ginsberg, do you always take up for people that hate you, or are you willingly suicidal?
A poster who uses the name of a dead NAMBLA pervert. That adds to the credibility…liberalism is a mental disorder.
Madjewess is right–one of the best selling books on the West Bank and Gaza is Mein Kampf!
The Croatians and Albanians (Muslims) were aligned with the Nazis, just like the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. If we think that this is meaningless, ancient history, we are deluded! Attending synagogue in parts of Sweden, England & France is becoming a dangerous activity.
But, after all, the international socialists blame Israel for the Muslims atrocities against Christians in Indonesia, Nigeria, Mindinao, Chechnya, and Iraq. And they declare that Jewish settlers are responsible for the decapitation of Buddhists in southern Thailand and the murders of villagers in Kashmir?!?
At least we can rely on DHS to protect us from security threats–returning war vets, Ron Paul supporters, people who oppose higher taxes and gun control, homeschoolers, people who go to town-hall meetings, and other dangerous types. Thank you Ms Janet Reno Napoleano!!!
S.S.- Mein Kampf is the 2nd MOST read book aside from the Qu’ran, even before the Hadiths.
(Sorry, I am dyslexic and at times, at times I get a little lazy 😉 )
Crazy nutbags… just don’t start killing people based on their race/ethnicity/religion/politics or people like me will stand up to oppose you just as people like me are fighting in Afganistan right now.

I am sorry, but I really do NOT GET leftists and their affinity for enemies. Where does the self loathing come from? Can people like this be conspiring WITH these enemies? I can think of no other excuse.

GREAT article!!! The fact that these people signed up for that class (Islam), they will be forever under suspicion. It is their own Koran that clearly states to, “convert others or kill them.” No other faith on earth advocates killing in that matter. Do not fall for the soft sell B.S. that it is just the “radicals” who believe that. Again, IT IS IN THEIR BOOK! That is their marching order. They could be Buddists, Catholics, Protestents, Mormans or any other faith on earth but they belong to the one that wants to kill you if you do not believe in their faith. What crap!
BTW, it is spelled the religion of PIECE, not peace.
Political correctness will be the demise of the United States of America.
Oh, ya. And if you want to take a look into this demented, throw-back “religion”, read the book The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades). It will become clear to you then if there is any confusion on this matter with you.
And they talked amongt each other, the German intellectual elites, saying there is no threat to Germany with this Hitler and the Nazi party. He is only the chancellor. Then he declared a state of emergency with the help of the Nazi majority, and a one party police state was born. Freedom was taken away from the intellectual elites by force, and many were instructed by death to follow the Nazi majority. The Enabling Act in March 23, 1933 (Only 77 years ago) pushed Hitler in the dictators seat, and many young unemployed men were willing, ready, and able to dawn on their new brown shirt (Hitler’s Sturnabteilung or SA). The brown shirts would beat and kill enemies of the Nazi party in the street. Sound familiar intellectual elite?
Although ordinary citizens and you intellectual elite placed Hitler in the position as Germany’s dictator, Hitler’s Sturnabteilung had even your friends the intellectual elites silenced even though many good and decent Germans realized too late the Nazi party had grown into an uncontrolable homicial monster. They were silenced by fear, and silence continues in the current matter before us as Islamo-Fascism follows in the same steps as the Nazi party.
When you calibrate yourself to current events “intellectual elite”, you do not have to go too far back in history to see the FACT that history does and is repeating itself.
All good arguments start with certain assumptions grounded in hard empiral evidence in history, like mass graves and many dead bodies from Nazi Germany.
The template for the Nazi Party is the play book for the Islamo-Fascists around the world. The same brown shirts are now in the streets of America, England, Europe, Africa, Iran yelling, beating and killing the enemies of the Islamo-Fascist.
These kids are begging you, begging you, begging you, intellectual elite to come to their aid, but you, intellectual elite return the favor with you silence and consent to murder by these 2010 brown shirts spread all over the world.
Why do you remain silent, intellectual elite? Why will you allow another Nazi party gain power before it’s too late.
Shame on you for not having the courage to speak up for liberty, freedom, and peace.
Santi- Wow, very excellent posting. Really. That is something that these elite Marxist/Nazis should think about and stop the madness.
I was reading on Marx, he was coupled with Fred Engels, an Aryan;
The Bolshevik Party was fully sponsored by the German government.
It was organized by an Aryan, Friedrich Engels, who needed to hire someone with “Jewish brains”, so he sponsored the most self-hating Jew he could find – Karl Marx.
All German Communists were patriotic, nationalist Germans looking to do “what’s good for the Germans” whereas all the ranking Jewish Communists were anti-Zionist and rejected Judaism. (Which is happening now, people are actually almost demanding people to renounce Zion) Aint gonna happen to this little lady, Zion IS GOD, period.
(The cornerstone of Zion is GOD, physically and spiritually, it is not ‘politics, the word of GOD is FOREVER.)
———-Anyhow, after further reading, I have come to the absolute conclusion that Marxism IS Nazism. Nazism IS Marxism.
I suppose that this is why I am finding more and more Moslems and left wingers ‘liking’ this idea. I have been told on numerous occasions on political forums that “Hitler was right” BY hardcore left-wing DEMOCRATS.
As bad as the repubs are, I have not heard this from a repub, OR an independent.
I believe it all comes down to one issue; good vs. evil. The so called “democrat” party has gone totally evil. The one thing that concerns me, is when people like Mr. Ginsberg above will ever wake up, or will he turn out like Soros?
In America, this will all turn on the Jews and Evangelicals, possibly many Catholics. This admin already hates Israel, which is sad.
We are on the precipice of evil, and the only voices now stopping it are bloggers and radio. They refuse to report the truth on the regular cable. This thought should push harder every national talk show radio host and blogger to expose this more and more.
God have mercy.
Jesus wept!
I’m out of here.
If there are 100 people in a room and 99% of them love me, but 1% has a gun and wants to kill me. If the 99% do nothing to help me, then it’s pretty irrelevant as to what they feel about me right?
Dear Charles, run fast behind the stiffest non-helper/s.
Seriously? You term this kind of trash ‘critical thinking’? According to who’s definition? At what point do you engage critically with any aspect of this ridiculous email? What does this email say that can’t be heard on right-wing talkback shows up and down the country?! There’s nothing clever, revealing, or analytical about it. Please. In the name of intellectual honesty – change your blog title to swallow-and-follow. It suits you so much better.
“Swallow and follow”? Not very original either. And far less value than we’ve read so far.
I’m keeping your comment posted as an example of what critical thinking isn’t. Thanks.
Dear Agnostic,
As a Cahtolic and there are many of us and Christians alike, we will not allow you or others like you, Helen Thomas, to place our elder brothers and sisters in the path of yet another holocaust.
To my Jewish brothers and sister, please take into account the left, no all, but many are not your friends.
They are fair weather friends that will run like cowards while those of us on the right, not all, but most Catholics and Christians alike will stand with you, defend, and support our Jewish brothers and sisters.
Never again will we stand idle while the world takes yet another hit at Israel and our Jewish brothers and sisters.
As Christians and Jews, following the example of the faith of Abraham, we are called to be a blessing to the world (cf. Gen. 12:2 ff.). This is the common task awaiting us. It is therefore necessary for us, Christians and Jews, to be first a blessing to one another (L’Osservatore Romano, August 17, 1993).
Pope John Paul II visited Israel in 2000, publicly apologizing for the persecution of Jews by Catholics over the centuries, including the Holocaust, and depositing a note pleading for forgiveness in a crack in the Western Wall.
Still, when John Paul II died on April 2, 2005, at the age of 84, he made one final gesture to the Jews when he mentioned “the rabbi of Rome.” Toaff and John Paul’s longtime secretary were the only living people mentioned in the will.
Toaff called the reference a “significant and profound gesture for Jews” and “an indication to the Catholic world.” John Paul, he said, “wanted to indicate a road aimed at further destroying all the obstacles that have divided Jews and Christians through the centuries.
Swallow this Agnostic, or are you like the other Helen Thomas’ of the world that deny the truth.
Oh I really have to do your job for you? Here… let me have 5 minutes just to run a through critical thoughts past you …
“The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history”.
What evidence do you have of this? Garner the most television coverage sure; are you aware that news-as-entertainment coverage and ‘fact’ are not coterminous? Seemingly not. The terms ‘Islam’ and ‘Muslim’ are repeatedly used throughout this article as if the entity to which it refers is homogenous. One and a half billion people scattered across the globe. Situated in countries as diverse as Turkey, Indonesia and Morocco. But hey, why distinguish between such people right? Easy just to lump them all together and speak of them as if they have only one mind. Christians living in Scotland should similarly take responsibility for the role of Christians in executing abortion doctors in the United States?? I wouldn’t think so.
“China’s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.”
And other such specious examples. Formula: Take a country where atrocities have occurred … imply that the fact that the country was supposedly peaceful BEFORE such events (as all countries are) is therefore proof positive that people who claim to be peaceful are therefore complicit. Its a BULLSHIT ILLOGICAL argument. Really my high school son could do better. The United States population was peaceful as well, but white americans still managed to enslave millions of Africans, exploit, torture, and murder them with impunity. What does it tell us that is relevant to the writer’s argument. NOTHING.
“History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt”
Here’s a clue – there are no history lessons IN this piece. Its just a bunch of thrown together examples with no historical context given whatsoever (Rwanda being an excellent case in point – any consideration given to the role of Belgian colonization on the atrocities? it is a far more substantiated and researched explanation, albeit far too complex for the author of this diatribe, than the ridiculousness offered above) in order to inflame and justify already-ascertained beliefs. If that’s the purpose of your blog, then hey – all power to you. We’re all entitled to our ‘beliefs’, right? But don’t pass it off as an example of critical thinking when it is clearly not. It makes your blog title a joke, more decorative accessory than substantial indication of what might be included.
And you are more than welcome to allow this to also stand as an example of my inability to think critically.
Much better. Next time start with the thinking and less vitriol and you should do fine.
Always happy to be a guide to better thinking.

I belong to an indigenous peoples for whom European colonization has meant absolute devastation. The death of more than 50% of our population. The theft of the vast majority of our lands. The decimation of our language and culture. Joined together with other indigenous peoples globally our loss in just population alone numbers conservatively 35million people, with upper limits reaching as high as 140million. So while I have no desire to rejoice in the similar treatment of ANY peoples, you will forgive me if the oppressions you indicate are not at the top of my priority list. Thank you.
European colonization did in fact devastate many; however, any right minded person would not agree this was one of America’s shining moments in history. For that I’m sorry to you and your people.
Europe happen to make it here first before Asia did. Not sure any of us would be allowed to even bring this up had China been here first and was running this Blog.
I’m also certain you will have the last laugh when the weak minded European “Colonizers” spend all their coin at the reservation casinos spread out across your lands.
Your priority list will hopefully change; however, if it does not and folks like you place the Jews and America in harms way, be prepared for the lawful push back.
America has awoken from its long lazy sleep, and it time to go to work folks.
A time for choosing America.
Kindly make the right choice in November between freedom and liberty or tyranny and oppresion, and please reach out to our Jewish brothers and sisters in kind with hope, unity and support of the young boys in the IDF that take it on the chin day after day, after day…..
Thank you Mr. Reagan. You were correct in 1964 and you are correct in 2010.
We miss you sir..
Dear Catholics,
Please vote and call your children and grandchildren to vote and have them call others like minded to vote like you.
Sad to see so many closed minds wasting time polarizing their positions instead of finding common ground.
Dear Doug,
Acorn, moveon, George Soros, and the like have a right to push their positions to meet their ends. I defend their right to do so; however, I also have a right to state an opinion and a way of life that is time tested and grounded in a lifestyle of tolerance, life, love, forgiveness, and a daily struggle to do the right thing.
Having missed the mark from time to time (more times than I would like to admit), I do center myself daily to do good, edify the young, and build people up from all cultures in an idea called CULTURAL UNITY… E Pluribus Unum
NOT……
cultural diversity……fragmented and polarizing…
In that state of mind I do defend Israel and the Jews. Why? Well, they are a culture of life, love, tolerance, and building, not destroying as in the culture of death. They have had to endure hate, destruction, the holocaust, and more for over 2000 years in written history.
Why must they continue to beg the world for the right to live?
Why?
So, even if you don’t agree with someone as I often do, does not mean I have a right to deny their freedom to think and live a lifestyle that is time tested and grounded in the desert culture. Even if you take the God out of it, the desert cultures in these books are a template to good order, love, peace and forgiveness.
And, this may shock you, but I do pray for our President, and defend him from those outside the shores of America that wish to put him down; however, he is like all men with desires and dreams for a certain way of life, like me.
So even though I may disagree with my wife, children, father or mother from time to time, does not mean I don’t love them, or if they disagree with the way I “think or feel”, does not mean they don’t love me.
The struggles for ideas as a way of life have been here since the beginning, and the struggles in nature’s diversity to survive are equally battling for survival, daily.
Doug, I may not agree with you; however, I will stand by your side to defend your freedom to think and your freedom of speech.
Tolerance is giving Israel and the Jews their God given right to live, and I will continue to defend their way of life, country, as will my family and children defend their right to live, our elder brothers and sisters, the Jews.
Please vote in November.
I’ve added this clip with the understanding that Jews wrote the bible, and Mary was a Jew. I also understand and respect the fact that not everyone is a Christain; however, framing me as a religious nut does not define me.
Even though this clip was designed for Christains, it can easly be seen in anyone that values freedom hence allows for critical thinking.
I agree with Doug & Catholic in some points. If you could get your heads together on some things, maybe.
I’m all for cultural diversity. Whatever keeps you on your toes. It isn’t to be equated with the fragmentation issues. Fragmentation may be essential to the survival of the species.
There is however a caveat: diversity is not a justification for fence-sitting. Let’s have the courage to call a spade a spade, but be magnanimous enough to be corrected when wrong.
It’s no justification at all, Mark, especially sweeping butcheries under the blood-stained rugs, perhaps just because somebody is having a Pollyanna moment.
If we were sitting across each other, no matter how many times we spin the globe, we will perceive differently. That’s history. It’s supposed to be like that, if you ask me. And among communities, as among individuals, there are irreconcilable differences. A few weeks ago I was agreeing to disagree and the other cannot fathom the meaning of this. Oh, well…
This may not be the best, but I enjoyed reading this so…
http://www.secularhumanism.org/index.php?section=library&page=kstunkel
Problem is, agreeing to diasgree doesn’t resolve the issue either. Occasionally, especially since religion is involved, are some ideas “too sacred” to criticize?
Hey are you reading the secular humanist too?
Eh… does everything have to be resolved?
I’d settle for eternal dialectics without having to hope for any resolution, actually, and just dialectics for the sake of it. Because when you think you have a solution / outcome in mind, you tend to be biased, and maybe, even worse, biased against yourself. Then again, in the world of results-oriented politics that, after all these centuries, still need improvement…
Take for example the dislike for polarization and fragmentation by, of all religious representation, Catholicism, a much polarized (good vs. evil moralities and sentiments) and fragmented (intercessions, rituals, vatican, hierarchies, sex crimes, etc.) religion, to boot. Get real, right? It’s not about the polarization and fragmentation as the latter is quite part of nature, even biologically programmed, how exactly to completely eradicate but by simply checking out of this earthly life, and still who’s to know if what comes after that is more, more fragmentation. Therefore, it’s more about whose polarization and fragmentation will rule the roost, which is the politics of religions, internally and externally.
I usually don’t enter dialectics with anything that feels like a colonization.
Yes, Mark, I’ve been reading secular humanist before I posted it on the comments. I usually explore these through my study of mythologies and symbols.
Bias in the search for truth is unavoidable. Being critical of all views whilst seeking and espousing your own is the system to overcoming that bias.
Now debates for debate’s sake is good for intellectual stimulation–but I think the issue being brought up in this thread is one that affects the quality of life of millions of people, and indirectly could spell the difference in millions more dying or living.
So whilst I can’t say whether everything has a resolution, I can say that some things do or need to have one–and this issue is one of those things.
Are we happy to one of the peaceful majority who fence-sit and “engage in dialectics for dialectic’s sake” whilst simultaneously the minority engage in beliefs or actions that lead to the detriment of others?
“Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless handheld”
I usually don’t enter sophism with anything that feels like communism “lite”; however, I defend their right to free speech and critical thinking.
And yes, Catholicism has done much worse than has been posted on this blog, so thanks for going easy on us. However, a majority of us are trying to make right the wrongs in our daily struggle to do good for all (life, love, forgive, edify, encourage, et. Al.). Thanks Pope John Paul II.
And yes, my Sundays are filled with many wonderful cultures and races (Cultural Unity), and we all seem to get along for the most part in the “Culture Of One” from many wonderful cultures from around the world (Cultural Diversity), E Pluribus Unum.
And yes, we can sit in our coffee shops without fear of a bomb going off and/or post ourselves in lecture halls with young innocent minds to convince them that America is evil and religion is the opiate of the masses.
And, yes Catholicism is an easy target and very much warranted at times; however, when taken into context to most evil sex crimes by, school teachers for example, therapists for example, then Catholicism appears, from the numbers, to be quit similar to the evil that is done around the world in different settings. None justified, all evil.
And, yes when life and a people’s way of life are threatened much like my Jewish brother and sisters are threatened daily coupled with unprovoked homicides from IED’s, missiles from Gaza, Body Bombs and the like, I take a stand to the sanctity of life, to the Jews right to life, to make it simple.
So, there is a difference when a culture says “Death to the Jews!”, places these words in their charter, and then acts on those words to murder Jews versus cultures that promote peace and defend themselves only when provoked.
l’chaim………….to life.
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=V2CaBR3z85c
Precisely why dialectics are good – the bias. Haha.
If you could put the fence-sitters and debaters in a great mood, at least there are more happy people in the world. Haha. I’m not always interested in resolutions. I could be very, very, very blase about it, especially when it involves fundamentalistic attitudes.
Which reminds me that I do know Muslim and Christian peacemakers who are far from fence-sitters. They are in the warzones negotiating for peace. Risky business just the same.
Negotiating for peace in actual situations can change you forever, though. Some personality labels become more loosely fitted such as religion, race, nationality, etc. You become quite the pluralist type mentioned in the council for secular humanism. It’s quite essential for peacemaking to make peace your highest concern.
Let me add this please.
I defend philosophical viewpoints that are grounded in the humanistic movement; eventhough, I don’t agree with them. Freedom….America….
God and science can co-exist in harmony with each other; however, Dr. Eduard Wirths, Dr. Aribert Heim, Carl Vaernet, Josef Mengele, Dr. Sigmund Rascher, Heinrich Himmler, Dr. Hans Eppinger and the like perhaps would have objected to the Nazi experments had their belief in a culture of life superceded a culture in pure science. Just a thought..
l’chaim………….to life.
Catholic, you are too defensive? I can think of a thousand ways to express these same thoughts, but you seem to have a chip on your shoulder about something.
Religion IS science with its cosmology downsized due to the push forward to the present times. Do this, you get that. So we entertain ourselves and others with all sorts of gymnastics. Better yet — Do this, OR ELSE. To save face, however, it now calls itself “religion” and hopes that “science” doesn’t give it bad marks. Then again…
I’m glad you didn’t mention Pope B, but I will. I’m sure you’ve read Time Magazine’s June 11 issue? “Why Being Pope Means Never Having To Say You’re Sorry.” What Papal gall! I fake a gasp. Then again, that was to make you read the magazine. Not everybody is Catholic, however, and not everybody is hot about waiting for the next apologies before they reconstruct their ways of living.
Maybe you can make a video of all people in this world like the above. Include Bush, Hitler and all the terrorists of the world. Anyway, thanks for showing a reject. Shall I say, good choice? If that makes you feel any better.
Dear Sandra,
I appriciate you and your wisdom. I have no doubt you are very educated, and I respect you.
Yes, the chip is standing by your side defending your right to express your points of view even when I disagree.
If those on my team (Cathoics) would deny you the right to express freedom of thought and speech, they would find me defending Sandra.
Yes, you Sandra as I defend the Jews, as I defend the Hindus in the Mumbai massacre, as I defend the Christian Africans. Silence is consent Sandra, and we need to make a stand for life, first.
Let’s be frank with each other. If there was a country called Utopia and Sandra was a citizen with a very unique culture different from my culture and she was told by the culture of death, she does not have the right to life, have a country, speak, think, then I ,Catholic, would say to Sandra you have a friend that will defend your freedom of speech, thought, culture, life et. al.
We have lost our way. We emphasize our defferences to place people in power (yes), and you would be shocked to know I have voted for folks with a similar value systems as my own, outside of my culture, race, et. al.
The old liberals of the past would defend anyone’s right to think and freedom of speach especially when they disagreed with them, without violence.
The new crop of profs. and the like have lost their way, engage in violence with those they disagree with, and I have had to think long and hard as to what happened to the real liberals of the past that are now saying, “we didn’t expect this to happen”.
I have no power, no control, and am harmless. I do know when good people say nothing, evil shall hurt the innocent. I am only one person; however, I’ll do my very small part and others like me in spreading, not by force, those anchient desert codes of conduct from the Tribes of Israel that I do love.
The Jews have a right to life. Please leave them alone to raise their children and protect their right to a very unique and wonderful culuture. They also have a right to defend themselves when provoked as do you and I, Sandra.
Peace will begin when the culture of death can at the very least say, “we recognize your right to life” then we can build on that peace, that cornerstone, to life, l’chaim.
My culture also allows me to say I am sorry if my tone was taken the wrong way. You will always have a friend that will defend your right to freedom and your freedom of speach even when I disagree.
American that I love is freedom in my very bias opinion.
Jose Maria Aznar agrees. He was the Spanish Prime Minister and has some thoughts on the discussion as to the culture of death that would deny you, Sandra, and me any rights to freedom, liberty, and all that founding fathers stuff that America was built on.
You know those “so yesterday” Judeo/Christain values that are locked up in those fragile papers called the Constitution/Bill of Rights of the United States of America.
http://www.cjhsla.org/news.php
I am feeling that you are doing your best to connect with me because you caught a thought that kept running through my mind. You’re right, “So Yesterday!”
I do not rely on politicians to give me peace. You said yourself that you have “no power, no control and are harmless” – because you are obviously relying on the power, control and harm that a politician can do. Perhaps that is what America can provide. But you speak of these political leaders as if they were carrying bayonets, sticks and stones like yesterday. Your presidents have nuclear power right at their finger tips! And that will give you peace!? I say, disarm all that completely, remove entirely the demand for oil, and stop providing war supply to the entire globe. That’s right to life, isn’t it?
Don’t take too far the right for speech freedom and the right to war, foolhardy as it is. We also have the right for silence and the right to peace.
Thanks Sandra.
Thank you, too, and you’re welcome, Catholic. I like this video very much.
Allen Vallis writes (back in March, 2010 – but I’m just reviewing this thread …) “If every Christian followed the teachings they ascribe [sic] to, there would be a lot less strife in the world for Christians, Muslims or the rest of us.”
I agree with this interpretation of Christianity, and the principles of Jesus Christ. Christianity does indeed teach that Christians, like Christ, should ‘turn the other cheek’, when assaulted, and accept crucifixion over physical resistance or retaliation for assault. The ‘problem’ is, if every Muslim followed the teachings to which they subscribe (the Qur’an), there would be far fewer ‘infidels’, altogether, as the Qur’an stipulates that any ‘infidel’ (and an infidel is by Qur’an definition any human who is made aware of Allah, Muhammad, and the Qur’an, and yet resists conversion from any other organised religion [be it Christianity, Judaism, Hindi, etc.] or conversion from atheism) is an affront to Allah. According to the Qur’an, any such ‘infidel’ should be given three days to reject the teachings of any prophet before or after Muhammad. If after that three day ‘enlightening’ period any individual still rejects the Qur’an and the laws as defined in the Qur’an, then the devout Muslim is explicitly instructed to ‘convert the infidel by the sword.’
The most certain way to insure a strife free existence for mankind would be to outlaw any form of organised religion, whatsoever. Not outlaw belief in God, but just outlaw any form of ‘worshiping’ said God in an ‘organised’ way. Organised religion is the antithesis of faith, and the bane of both man’s, and God’s, existence!
Beverly,
Here is an example of organised religion that anyone can appriciate.
There is an article here about The Quranist’s Role in Combatting Islamic Fundamentalism which I think you might find relevant and interesting.
Dear Asfora,
The only hope for change in Radical Islam or Islamic Fascism is a Global Islamic Women’s Movement; however, our pioneers in the US a.k.a N.O.W. will not lend a hand in support of such a movement. They unfortunatey remain silent to your struggles for equality.
How can 0.235% of the worlds population (Jews) account for 100% of the worlds problems stated by the Anti-Semites?
Total 6,430,856,221 0.235% 15,143,912
Meanwhile, the religion of peace sends out another fatwa because that .0235% is not allowed to live in peace and security. Insanity.

Whichever the way you veiw the Muslim faith there is a need to share it with the broader public.
